Getting Your Ex Boyfriend Back Written on February 7, 2010, by James Hightower.

Just 8 days before my wedding my boyfriend ditched me. I can understand how it feels and would like to tell you how to win back your ex boyfriend.

There were many feelings going through my mind. These included desperation, hopelessness, loneliness, rejection, and humiliation. I didn’t even want to get out of bed for work in the morning because the pain was so intense.

Although I had ideas initially to cry, threaten him with suicide, beg him to come back to me, I knew deep down that this behavior would only make him feel disgusted with me, so I made a concerted effort to stay away from these options.

Something I actually desired to do was to avoid anything that made me think of him. Well, I chose to go on a 2 week trip. I spent the first few days crying, but as time went by I begin to feel a lot better. Maybe it isn’t the end of the world if people break up. I felt rejuvenated and had positive thoughts for my future, so I went back home. And who did I see standing at my door? It was him! He had red eyes and it looked like he hadn’t rested in days.

He felt like he had lost me forever when I was not able to be reached. He wanted to tell me that he made a big mistake.

He begins to consider the way he would live his life without me and he didn’t like what he imagined. The trouble with this is that I had previously gotten over him and I just couldn’t find it in my heart to forgive his choice to leave me, just a few days before we were planning to be married! My trust in him was gone, and I wasn’t sure that he wouldn’t hurt me again.

I then realized that my thinking had worked right. If I had begged in front of him, he would have not come back to me , but the fact that I stayed away actually worked. He longed for me and wanted me back. So, you see, men generally like something different . During our relationship he thought that he has me and hence took me for granted. The moment I stayed away from him , he felt insecure and thought that I am now gone. Then he realized his mistake and that he had lost me.

Your ex boyfriend might still have feelings for you , but he doesn’t acknowledge it . According to a survey 90% of people who break up still have strong affection towards their ex partner. It is you who has to make him realize this feeling. Hence you should stay away from him for a while and then see how he would realize that he cannot live without you.
