In an internet article it is stated that 41 per cent of women in Canada live alone. The article also adds in Canada “more than one-third of marriages will end in divorce before the couples’ 30th anniversary and that 43 per cent of women will see their income decrease substantially – including their retirement funds.” Nowadays, getting a Canadian divorce is not a hard or complex procedure. If you want to obtain a divorce in Canada, all you have to do is to establish before the court that your marriage has broken down irretrievably.
However, it is not very easy to cope or deal with your divorce. The transition from married life to singlehood or single-parent family is not a simple process. First of all, you have to admit yourself that divorce has happened and now you are left alone to face the changes in the life. Just keep in mind that there is no use in blaming yourself or the other party for the divorce.
Likewise, behavioral addictions like compulsive shopping disorder can lead to many serious financial consequences and subsequent conflicts in a family. People with this disorder have an inclination to indulge in unnecessary shopping and spending money without any particular reason. They simply cannot control their impulse to buy things even if they really do not want or need them. Obviously, this type of character in a spouse can threaten the economic security of the family.
Infidelity of a spouse can create many emotional scenes in the family. It can affect whole family including the children. Sometimes, the children cannot bear the adultery of one of their parents. They may feel confused, angry, and sad at their parent’s betrayal. It can destroy lives and damage relationships. However, divorce is not the ultimate answer to the adultery of a spouse. If the spouse is ready to mend the ways and is very eager to come back to the family, a second chance can be given to that person.
Legally, adultery can be defined as consensual or voluntary sexual intercourse between two individuals who are not married to each other. It should also be noted that artificial insemination without the knowledge of spouse also comes under the category of adultery. If you want to get divorce in Canada on the basis of your spouse’s adultery, you would have to prove it before a court. Hence, most spouses prefer to seek Canadian divorce citing separation as the ground for divorce.
