When a man and woman marry, they swear undying relationship, the man promises the moon for her and she promises that she will walk to the end of the earth with him! All is hunky dory for a few years and the gradually the initial euphoria dies a slow death, and love flies out of the window. There may be many reasons for it. IT could be that the wife has not conceived after so many years which makes their life purposeless or the wife could be so busy with the kids that she may not have enough time for the husband that makes him feel left out and bitter, which leads to his straying looking for better pastures. It could be this way too, both the spouses being so busy with their respective professional pursuits that they are not bothered what the other one does, and are just living together for the sake of appearance and to maintain a social credibility.

A few years ago, people who take divorce used to share their sorrow and anguish with their closest peers and try to keep the matter discreet. After all, divorce is not something that one can feel proud of and boast about, unless and until he/she had faced severe physical and mental abuse from his/her spouse. My friend says, “Things change as time changes”. True, the conventional procedure of taking divorce, the long and elaborate legal proceedings have started to make way for quick and easy online divorce. Hence, the way one shares his/her distress with friends has also changed. But let us see if this is for good or not.
